ACE cards problem in 6500 with VSS

Hello,

I have 2 6500-E configured in VSS and I have on each 6500 one ACE card and one FWSM card. My problem is that I have only one ACE card OK and the other in PwrDown or Other status at the same time. There are never the two card in OK Status at the same time. The ACE card is OK only in the 6500 which is Active VSS, never in the 6500 VSS standby.

Have I forgot something to do ?

Can you post the "show version" and "show module switch all" of the VSS.

you need at least version 12.2(33)SXI for this.

Hi Mauricio,

You need to run minimum version A2(1.3) on your ACE module and 12.2(33)SXI on your 6500 chassis.

If you run a version before A2(1.3) your ACE module status will be:

. OK on the Actice VSS

. PwrDown on the Standby VSS

You need to move you ACE module to the Active switch of your VSS set and upgrade to A2(1.3).
