Hello,
I look for some release information summary giving some information about the IOS starting offering availability for using named ACl with SNMP comminuty on catalyst (2950, 2940, 2960, 3750, 4500, 6500).
I used the command loopup tool, but this do not help me so much.
For IOS (all IOS command) this option is available since 12.3(2)T.
But what about those switches ?
Regards,
Jean-David

The link http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/ios/12_3t/12_3t2/feature/guide/gtsnmpal.html does not give the starting IOS for those switches.

'ip access-list standard name' can be used as a Standard ACL

Hi Jean,
I would request you to create an access-list like below and use it for SNMP string.
ip access-list standard SNMP_ACCESS
permit 10.10.10.20
permit 10.10.10.30
permit 10.10.10.40
permit 10.10.10.43
snmp-server community XXXXXXX RO SNMP_ACCESS
Please rate the helpful posts.

Naidu.

Hello Latchum,
Hello Latchum,
Thank you for your suggestion.
I know that is this work then I’ll do it like this, but a lot of models of switches are concerned for a customer.
I don’t have an access to them. Anyway because there a lot of switches concerned, I can’t try on each model/IOS release.
Regards,
Jean-David
