Hi all,

unfortunately, I deleted the VLAN.dat file. Therefore, the interface of the default vlan does not show anything. I tried following steps,

1. Switch reset

2. Tried to install IOS

3. Tried various commands

Unfortunately, I can't fix it. How can I fix it?

Switch Model: Catalyst 3750 v2

Thanks...

unfortunately I don't think there is a way to retrieve vlans now if u do not have any vlan listed in configs; check show running or show start-up, di u have any vlans listed ?  Note that VTP transparent mode stores vlans in config file whereas other VTP modes store info in VLAN.dat

check your switch flash; are there any old or backup files?

I think you need to access other same models SW copy vlan files to tftp and from there copy to this SW.

You can try using vtp but I dont think it work since the files name under director is deleted.

copy flash:config.old start

And then reboot the switch.

you have old configuration file saved on flash; config.old - u may be able to retrieve some vlans.  it is not the same as vlan.dat file but it is something.  also check file named private.old config (open to read text file)
