Application-layer protocol in 2960S

Hi

What kind of protocols/function does 2960S support on Application-layer? (I know SNMP can be supported)

My customer want to find a protocol that can check the network status/health by application-layer protocol/function in 2960S

What matters is the IOS Version.Apart from SNMPv3, probably logging via secured syslog (make sure to enable NTP). 2960s supports CNAv5.6 a config GUI, I'm pretty sure it has some monitoring and diagnostics features. More info:
