Hi all,
I am mapping ports from N7K 7010 to a N9K C93180YC. I see that port-channel ports in N7K are attached to different slots (e.g. 1/1 and 2/1) and I suppose it is due to if a slot fails, (e.g 1) I still have the other to mantain the connection.
In N9K C93180YC I do not have this, but I am wondering if the group ports, i.e. 1/1 to 1/16, 1/17 to 1/32 and 1/33 to 1/48, that are graphically divided are also internally divided in some way that just one group can fail. In this is case I would map the port-channel with the same logic as in N7k.
Otherwise is just a matter of preference.
Thanks

You can see on p 49

That all ports are connected to single slice, so they are equal, and you can choose ports as you want.
