Hi,
is there an OID which I can use to check the state of the router? For example recently I found that some fans in fan module stopped. The status LED on the module turned into red and the Crit and MAJ LEDs on chassis turned to RED too. I can probably parse logfiles or even use SNMP Traps but I would rather ask the device periodicaly if all is OK (because the log lines or traps can disapper during their way to remote logger).
Thanks

Hi,
If you use any monitoring application line SolarWinds, you can configure it to send you text, email, etc.. when a fan, power supply or any other component goes down.

Hi,
we are using Icinga to monitor our network. And I need some OID which I can include to Icinga configuration so it will ask the ASR if all is OK.
I have found OIDs for each unique FAN (there is 14 fans in the FAN module). I would prefer to have one OID which will alert me that something is wrong. I can check manually what happened on the router. The FAN oids are somehow hard to decode (Entity MIB means rather random device indexes which are unique per router) and they will cover only fan problems. General alarm OID would be better.
Best Regards
