router deployed will be in comms room in management office and attached to the switch in this location
- Use Packet tracer to create a network for the above scenario. Add in some end devices to test.
- Create a IP addressing structure for the network with appropriate subnet mask
- Create vlans for the network (note each subnet should have an associated vlan)
- Configure trunks between the switches to carry vlan information from one switch to another
- Configure one VTP server in your network, the rest should be VTP clients, there should be a vtp domain and password for clients to join. This means that any vlan add moves or changes will be reflected right across you network.
- Configure your router to allow inter vlan communication
- Test you network by ping from one end device on a vlan to an end device to another vlan.
