Hi all, I'm getting ready to upgrade from 100mb to GB on our administrative LAN due to bandwidth requirements of new software package. I have 35 workstations & 2 servers. How concerned do I need to be with regards to bottlenecking the LAN if I have 2 48 port switches (2960's) with a GB uplink between them?

if you have 1Gbps to the desktop, your uplink won't be able to satisfy all the traffic demands on concurrent 1Gbps flows, thus you should be concerned if your application is susceptible to latency.
You could etherchannel multiple 1Gbps to augment your bandwidth or upgrade to a switch that has 10Gbps uplinks.

Edison
