Hello
Our 4 different group will be sharing the same office floor which was scattered earlier in different cities. Total number of Users would be around 100 and I already got 3 switches 2960 (48 ports ). Can someone suggest a good backbone switch where i plan to terminate all switches and create vlan. I will be responsible to manage all switches, ip address schema and support users.
Any suggestion
thanks
Vishal

L2 or L3? Links between switches copper or fiber? Edge ports FastEthernet or GigEthernet? Expected traffic load?
For L2 you could use another 2960. For redundancy, dual (stacked) 2960-S.
For L3 you could use one of the 3650 models, for redundancy, dual pair (stacked) of one of the 3750 models.
PS:
BTW, believe the latest IOS for some of the 2960s (-S models?) support very basic L3.
