Is there a best practice for broadcast suppression? By this I mean, what percent of broadcasts should be allowed onto the network? Thanks.

This is going to be a "your mileage may vary". Reason, broadcasts are usually necessary for correct network functioning but too many can cause your network to melt down. Also realize, when you suppress at all, even against something like a DoS attack using broadcasts, the suppression will possibly filter out some legitimate broadcasts.

You could try find a suitable % by determining what your normal legitimate broadcast % traffic is and then provide headroom.
