Hi,
I recently updated many cisco 3850 switches to 16.9.4 but facing an issue after upgrading one stack. We are getting error message as "
%BOOT-3-SYSD_STARTFAIL: Switch 4 R0/0: root: Failed to launch boot task boothelper_autoupgrade.service ( exit-code )"
I know that this behavior of the switch matches the bug ID "CSCvc03655", but the affected IOS version does not match the current version of IOS. The stack booted successfully but switch 4 added in the stack with little delay.
I am trying to get the BOOTROM version details from the chassis 4 without rebooting it but not getting success because the "session switch" command seems to disappear. I want to check the BOOTROM version before entering in the rommon mode of the chassis 4. I have some challenges as this switch also added in the power stack so I can't make it down directly. So trying to avoid full-stack downtime and wants to check the BOOTROM version.
Is there any command smilier to "Switch: BOOT_LOADER_UPGRADE_DISABLE=0" in the configuration mode so I can run into the chassis 4 only.
What is your opinion on the above-mentioned error?

No, there is none.
This needs to be done in ROMMON.

sh romvar
sh rom-monitor switch <1-9> r0
The above commands are only supported in 16.10.X (and later).
