booting from rommon

If I have 2 versions of ios on flash and I type boot from rommon without specifing which version to boot, which version will boot first?

it will obey the config register. if config register is set to boot the first available IOS image, it will boot it. if it is set to boot based on the boot variable, it will boot that image specified in the boot variable.

Thanks. That helped alot. I deleted the old ios and rebooted the switch on the new ios. When I do a show ver isee that ROM still has the old version in it. How do I get it to reflect the correct version.

ROM is bootrom which is different than the IOS image. you need not worry about ROM.
