Bought a Cisco switch from Amazon

Bought a CIsco Systems 50-port PoE smart switch(SG22050PK9NA) and wanted to register it. I called Cisco and was told that Amazon was not an authorized re-seller. How can I register it, so that it is protected by Cisco's warranty?

You can register it with a local Gold Partner Cisco supplier in your area , you can find them on the Cisco website  , they will take the serial number and get it registered under them so its under support through them with Cisco if it ever dies on you , yes correct amazon just sell kit they have no direct ties with Cisco , your local ISP or national ISP would definitely have some connection usually with them depending where your based

If you are Cisco certified for the specific equipment can you register them yourself, or do you still have to go through a reseller?
