Dear All,
I bought 2 Cisco C1300-8MGP-2x for my home network since I have plurigigabit optical connectivity to the Internet.
I was kind of expecting to find the usual Catalyst os and command. Cisco made a very bad (in my view) choice to keep teh catalyst name in a non catalyst switch (rant off). So now in the deployment phase I discover there is no VTP support (fine is transparent the Catalyst3560 will communicate and I will configure manually).
But now I cannot find how to tell the switch to encapsulate the trunk link in DOT1Q. Docs Say nothing. The forum shows nothing.
Does anyone knows if there is a way? Or dot1q is the only encapsulated available and so there is no need to configure it?
Thanks
Fabio
