Hi,

Trying to upgrade WS-C2960X-24TS-LL with c2960x-universalk9-tar.152-7.E4.tar image, I have "No space left on device" error during download-sw image.

Flash size is

Directory of flash:/

    2 -rwx 6968 Aug 2 2021 16:05:59 +00:00 private-config.text

56125440 bytes total (14224384 bytes free)

uploadFile is empty.

c2960x-universalk9-mz.152-7.E3.bin is 26Mo and html directory is 15Mo.

It remains only 14 Mo and 15.2-7.E4 tar file is 41 Mo.

Howto upgrade ?

Is there any update in documentation for a workarround ?

56Mo for flash is low, is there any command to extend flash: file system ?

Thx,

Luc.

you need to use below command :

archive download-sw /overwrite /reload tftp:[[//location]/directory]/image-name.tar privileged EXEC command.

I was not sure than process was complete. It seems OK.

Now I have same problem than c2960XR after upgrade.

Thanks.

Luc.

just to clarify is this upgrade due to Web GUI issue ?  - i will visit other post you mentioned later.

No. Web issue is due to upgrade.

To clarify, I summarize the process :

  1. I upgraded this device from CLI with "archive download-sw /reload /overwrite tftp....",  and I didn't see the end of process,
  2. Then, it was an issue on the WEB manager,
  3. I tried to untar locally html directory using "archive download-file..." + "archive tar /xtract....".
It was "no space left on device" with only a part of tar file (15Mo) in uploadFile directory.

Diagnostic error with "archive download-sw" command which download tar file twice and doesn't use flash: to store it during upgrade.

This sub-directory looks odd.

due to precedent "archive download-file..." command.
