C3750G-24TS and SSH

I have a C3750G-24TS Ver 12.2(25)SEE1

I am trying to connect with putty and am getting error "Connection refused". I have set a username and password.

used Line vty 0 15

login local

Telnet in no problem but want to disable and just use SSH.

Have you configured the rest of the parameters on the 3750 to support SSH? Does the code installed on the 3750 even support SSH ???

You are right, I entered crypto ? and it comes back unrecognized command. The image I have now is

Cisco IOS Software, C3750 Software (C3750-IPBASE-M), Version 12.2(25)SEE1, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1). I will look for IOS that supports SSH.

The image that you will need to support crypto has to have a "k9" in the image name. For example , an equivalent image to the one you have + crypto suppot will be c3750-ipbasek9-mz.122-25.SEE1.bin.
