C3850 24XS fan module

Hello,

We would like to change the airflow direction (and thus the fan module) on a CISCO C3850-24-XS-S switch.

Is it possible on this type of switch ? We have also seen that the CISCO C3850-48-XS-S had two fan modules (FAN-T3-R= & FAN-T3-F=). Are those modules compatible with the 24-XS ?

Yes it is compatible with all 3850 Models.

Hello

So we ordered the FAN-T3-R= and we tried to plug it into our CISCO C3850-24-XS-S and... it didn't fit at all.

First, the module T3 is twice the length and it wasn't held very well in the module slot.

Second, the electrical plug has a misplug-proof socket that prevents the T3 to be electrically connected.

Conclusion : the FAN-T3-R= module is not compatible with the CISCO C3850-24-XS-S.

Are there any other parts that could be compatible ?  We won't test any home-made solution because we do not want to loose the CISCO warranty.
