C6509-E + SUP2T + 15.1 + Flexible Netflow Error: could not get flow def

Hi,

I am trying to configure Flexible Netflow on a C6509-E with SUP2T but I get this error from IOS:

Aug 24 16:36:40 GMT: FLOW MON: Created Monitor: -888760999
Aug 24 16:36:40 GMT: FLOW MON:  'test' could not get flow def

 flow monitor test
 description "test"
 exporter test-FNF-EXPORT
 record test-FNF-RECORD

I do not consider necessary to include configuration of  Record/Export (cache statistics and export NetFlow collector are zero)
The problem is caused when the flow monitor command is entered and logging immidiately returns:
could not get flow def

I have followed this doc http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/switches/catalyst-6500-series-switches/white_paper_c11-652021.html (Cisco Catalyst 6500 Supervisor Engine 2T - NetFlow Enhancements White Paper) configuring another C6506 successfully.

Do I need to activate any other command/funtionality?

I am working with: (s2t54-IPSERVICESK9-M), Version 15.1(2)SY4a

I appreciate any comments

Thanks in advance!

Hi Jacob,

I checked error message in the tool "Error Message Decoder" but there is no reference related to my issue.

Thanks for your recomendation!

I am quite intrigued. Even Cisco 6500 series error codes dont list it. Let me sound stupid - but have you tried changing the name from test?

Indeed, I have tried several names with the same result.

One thing to consider is that after enabling hardware flow (the default configuration comes with no hardware flow) asked for a system reboot.
I searched in the document cited above (and others) if it is really necessary to reboot the switch after enabling NetFlow but have found no reference.

Thanks!
