Hi,
I've just tried creating a VSS cluster with two C6832-X-LE switches and have experienced a problem after the initial reload once the command to convert to VSS has been issued on switch 2 :
*Apr 30 10:52:10.931: %VSL_BRINGUP-3-MODULE_DOWN: Failed to bring up VSL module in slot 1 switch 2. Not enough power
*Apr 30 10:52:12.947: %VSL_BRINGUP-3-NO_MODULE_UP: Failed to bring up any VSL modules on switch 2
*Apr 30 10:52:12.947: %VSLP-5-RRP_NO_PEER: No VSLP peer found. Resolving role as ActiveInitializing as Virtual Switch ACTIVE processor
*Apr 30 10:52:12.947: %VSLP-2-VSL_DOWN: VSL links down and not ready for any traffic
The module contains both VSLs and does come up later in the boot process however it causes a reload due to detecting the presence of the Active switch :

Both DC PSUs are operating correctly however I did notice the following (from the output of 'show env') :
switch 1 power-supply 1 power-input: DC unknown
Has anyone seen this before?

How about the output of "show power"?
Does it show that the PSUs are unknow?

Seems that almost all the power is being consumed and you don't have enough power.

system power available = 12.00 Watts ( 1.00 Amps @ 12V)

I've just spotted CSCvf25518 - "Catalyst 6800 - VSS can not be formed running 15.4 IOS train using "C6840-X-750W-DC" power supplies.". Which may be related (even though I'm on 15.2(2)SY3).
I'll attempt an upgrade to one of the known fixed releases.
