C819 4G modem not recognized

Hi All,

Since a couple days I'm experiencing an issue with a C819-4G router.

The 4G connection unexpectedly disconnected, and I am unable to get it connected again.
There have been no configuration changes, and this config works fine in a spare router.

I found out that the Modem is not recognized any more.

I'm beginning to think it's some kind of hardware issue or that the modem firmware is corrupted in some way, but I'm not sure.
Has anyone else experienced a problem like this?

Kind regards,

Niels

Did you find the root cause for this? I am asking because I have run into the same problem with my 819.

Is there any other way to communicate with the modem and check status of it? AT commands?

Were you able to get to the root of this problem?

I am too getting this error on some of our routers and I am wondering if it's a hardware problem.

Thank you.

Probably hardware failure, we've replaced the router at the time. Since then it's running fine again.

Thank you Niels. That's what I am suspecting. I'm wondering if installing this modem will work:

https://www.cdw.com/shop/products/Sierra-Wireless-AirPrime-MC7355-wireless-cellular-modem-4G-LTE/3166983.aspx

The modem that my original 819s came with is a Sierra Wireless MC7750. The new ones we are buying are coming with the MC7350. The one above it's a MC7355, but it says it will work with Verizon LTE in US.

My routers are no longer supported anyway, so I don't lose anything although I will make sure I can return the modem in case it doesn't work.

What sucks is that I have 4 routers with the same symptom and I've always had high expectations from Cisco products.

Did it work? because I would like to use a 819 (Verizon version)  with modem: MC7354 compatible with Canada.
Thank for your answer :-)
