Hi all
I'm upgrading a switch Cisco9200-48p from IOS 16.12.02 to 16.12.03a in install mode.
I've seen that after upgrade, the flash disk space is under 1 GB.

I'd like remove the old IOS but the switch ask me to delete also these files : cat9k_lite_iosxe.16.12.03a.SPA.bin and cat9k_lite_iosxe.16.12.03a.SPA.conf.
that are files of the new IOS.
So my answer was no.
I guess if i had deleted the files of the 16.12.03 the switch would'nt reboot again.
Is this right or could I answer yes without care ?
follwing an extract of the command :

Hi,
It is safe to press "Y". It is not required. The switch will not touch any new ios file (.bin is not counted as used file), and any other file transferred by the admin.
Not required but better to run Wr Me command after deleting old files.

Hi,
You are supposed to cleanup first than do the upgrade.

Could you share the "Show boot" command output? If you used the "Install" command for upgradation than it is safe to delete to .bin file.

Hi Deepak
Yes, I used the "Install" command for upgradation to IOS 16.12.03a.
So I can feel myself safe for deletation the cat9k_lite_iosxe.16.12.03a.SPA.bin from flash disk
following the command output
Switch#show boot system
