C9300 stack and unwanted ports in the desc list

Hello,

I have installed a stack of 2x C9300X-24Y and 2x C9300-48P.

Config has been done successfully, and the interfaces appear normally using "show int status".

But when I execute "show int desc" I can see some unwanted ports in the list, that are actually not existing, see below, for example:

FYI only the config has been done for now, nothing is connected on the ports.

 Practically wll Cisco switches 9200/9300 shows some interfaces that actually does not exist.  I did not find a Cisco docs explaining this exactly but it is possible to assume that this is related to the aditional modules we can install on the switches.

This interfaces would be related to a module with 4  100 GigaBitEthernet that you currently does not have but could. I believe they put it on the software (IOS)  in order to work with a standard software development.

Ok I understand so it's a normal behaviour.

BTW I wanted to erase the config to do it again and see if it was not just a config corruption, but "write erase" did not have any effect ! Config still there after the reload of the stack.

Yes, I believe so. This was inputed on the switch IOS code probably in advanced to receive this module in this chassis or a similar chassis witht he same IOS code.

You can not take if off.
