Hello,
I have installed a stack of 2x C9300X-24Y and 2x C9300-48P.
Config has been done successfully, and the interfaces appear normally using "show int status".
But when I execute "show int desc" I can see some unwanted ports in the list, that are actually not existing, see below, for example:
Te1/1/1 down down
Te1/1/2 down down
Te1/1/3 down down
Te1/1/4 down down
Te1/1/5 down down
Te1/1/6 down down
Te1/1/7 down down
Te1/1/8 down down
Twe1/1/1 down down
Twe1/1/2 down down
Twe1/1/3 down down
Twe1/1/4 down down
Twe1/1/5 down down
Twe1/1/6 down down
Twe1/1/7 down down
Twe1/1/8 down down
Twe1/1/9 down down
Twe1/1/10 down down
Twe1/1/11 down down
Twe1/1/12 down down
Twe1/1/13 down down
Twe1/1/14 down down
Twe1/1/15 down down
Twe1/1/16 down down
Hu1/1/1 down down
Hu1/1/2 down down
Hu1/1/3 down down
Hu1/1/4 down down
I can also see them in the configuration:
[...]
interface TwentyFiveGigE1/1/7
!
interface TwentyFiveGigE1/1/8
!
interface TwentyFiveGigE1/1/9
!
interface TwentyFiveGigE1/1/10
!
interface TwentyFiveGigE1/1/11
!
interface TwentyFiveGigE1/1/12
!
interface TwentyFiveGigE1/1/13
!
interface TwentyFiveGigE1/1/14
!
interface TwentyFiveGigE1/1/15
!
interface TwentyFiveGigE1/1/16
!
interface HundredGigE1/1/1
!
interface HundredGigE1/1/2
!
interface HundredGigE1/1/3
!
interface HundredGigE1/1/4
While these should not appear ?
FYI only the config has been done for now, nothing is connected on the ports.

Yes, I believe so. This was inputed on the switch IOS code probably in advanced to receive this module in this chassis or a similar chassis witht he same IOS code.
You can not take if off.

Hi @Clem58
Practically wll Cisco switches 9200/9300 shows some interfaces that actually does not exist. I did not find a Cisco docs explaining this exactly but it is possible to assume that this is related to the aditional modules we can install on the switches.

interface HundredGigE1/1/1

interface HundredGigE1/1/2

interface HundredGigE1/1/3

interface HundredGigE1/1/4
This interfaces would be related to a module with 4 100 GigaBitEthernet that you currently does not have but could. I believe they put it on the software (IOS) in order to work with a standard software development.

Ok I understand so it's a normal behaviour.
BTW I wanted to erase the config to do it again and see if it was not just a config corruption, but "write erase" did not have any effect ! Config still there after the reload of the stack.
