hello,

Hello. I bought c9500-24y4c-a model.

firmware: 16.12.3

config: factory default, no connect port

our problem is fan operation noise is too loud.

I know that it only makes a loud noise when booting, and it becomes quiet when booting is complete.

I tried replacing power unit and device. However, it was not resolved.

fan and cpu status, no problem.

below is power and cpu status

Hi. I am having the exact same issue as you. We recently purchased a C9500-24Y4C-E that came with version 16.9.5 and 2 x Power Supply slots. Once I power it on, the fan on the PSU runs constantly at 100% and generates enormous loud noise. I have verified that LED indicator on both PSUs and FAN trays are Green when both power cables are connected.

Have you been able to solve this? Or could you kindly share TAC feedback if you got any?

Thanks!

Hello,

do you have an option to use two power supplies at the same time ? Others have reported noisy fans with only one power supply, with two, the fan noise disappears...

Hello, Georg

Thanks your quick reply.

I turned off the power and connected an additional 1 power supply.

but, same problem occurred.

Fan Fan States
Tray Status 0 1 2 3
------ ---------- -----------------------
FM0 ok good good good good
FM1 ok good good good good

 what's your firmware version?

I will apply the same firmware version as you, and if the symptoms are the same,

I will contact TAC.

Thanks,

hi, lotr

Unfortunately we haven't solved our problem yet.

We've already installed the switch, so we'll check back on the issue later.

Thank you for your interest in my problem.

If you solved the problem, I would appreciate your answer

Has anyone else had this issue or found a solution?

I can confirm we are also having same problem, the fans are too loud. We have two C9500-24Y4C and both of them have loud noise. Were you able to get anything from TAC ?

We have recently purchased two c9500 (48Y4C) preinstalled with 17.9.4a. Have encountered the same problem. Opened TAC case, sent logs as they required me to do and got an answer that "fan trays (2 times C9K-T1 per switch) are able to do 24k RPM and current speed at 10k+ RPM is perfectly normal."

Anybody found any other solution? Has anybody fixed it with firmware upgrade - which version?
