hi all,
may i know what is the difference between the power cords of above two part numbers?
can i use any of them to power up 3850 switches?
even though they looked alike, any technical difference between the two?

I always spec 'CAB-C15-CBN' which is listed against various 3850 models on Cisco's ordering tool.
Never heard of 'CAB-PWR-C14-C15' and it's not listed on the ordering tool, here in the UK at least.

I only recently learned this while having to replace a bunch of switches and running out of cables. Most of the older Cisco switch power cords have C13 ends that plug into the switch, with the normal 3 prong wall plug on the other end. Newer Cisco switches use C15 ends. They look just like C13 except there's a notch (can google for images, easy to see diff). This prevents the older C13s from being plugged into C15 specific switches because they put a "key" or tab in the way that only the notched C15 fits.
C14 is the male end that can fit either C13 or C15. C14 is what is built into the switch.
A cable that is C14-C15 is going to be the wrong cable because you need either C13 or C15 on one end, then the normal 3 prong wall plug (designated 5-15). Every Cisco switch power cord I've seen has a 5-15 on one end and either a C13 or C15 on the other.
