Can offset-list subtract metric?

I found in configuration-guid that describe the offset-list can add/subtract

offset from RIP/igrp metrics.but,I try many times,offset-list cann't subtract metrics,only adding! Who know! thanks

My experience is that offset list only increases the metric. I am not aware of any way to subtract metric. If you found a reference that indicates that it can subtract I suspect that it is a mistake. If you have the reference we can point it out to Cisco and ask for correction.

I use the real router online-help ,that describe same. what the hell?

I checked and now I agree with you that the online help in routers does say that offset list does add or subtract. And it does not subtract it only adds. So you have found a flaw in online help. Perhaps you should open a case with Cisco to get it corrected.
