Can't access single host on vlan from other vlans

We have an odd situation.  We have intervlan routing setup on our L3 core switches using a mixture of hsrp and vrrp.  On one particular vlan we can access all the hosts except for one from other vlans.  We can access this host while on the same vlan though.  I have checked the IP, netmask and gateway on the problem host.  All are correct and there does not appear to be anything wrong with the switchport that the host is plugged into.

It's set to static and when I changed it to another static IP on same subnet it still didn't work but when I change to dynamic IP it works and is accessible from other vlans.

Any ideas what's going on?

Odd. The port looks normal. Does that happen also when the host is connected to a different port on the switch ? What is the problem host, a Windows machine  ?

Have not tried another port on the switch. I'm thinking it's host related.  It is a Buffalo NAS.

I have googled around, it seems that if you initialize the station with the function button and the power switch, it will restore a.o. the DHCP settings to their default...

It does sound host related - probably either the mask or gateway are misconfigured when done statically.  Verify those carefully.

try to reduce aging time for mac address on your mac table, check DHCP release time period.
