3. configure your Debian Linux same range IP

this is if the switch is in the default IP address ? have you changed this?  if you have changed to whatever IP you should in the same range of IP to get GUI access, also make sure you set up the default gateway in switch towards ISP router. ( disable any DHCP / other settings which not required in switch)

make sure you save and commit the confg.

Thank you for your help! I logged into the web interface)) And I have disabled dhcp. But now I'm inserting a wire with the internet, now I don't have an internet connection! What am I doing wrong?

Thx for video! But I still cannot organize the stable operation of the switch! "Unable to connect 192.168.1.254". Connection not stable!

Max

unfortunatly nothing much i can assits here, since the Video is spoon feeding each step.

rather " "Unable to connect 192.168.1.254".

i would expect to explain the steps what you performed and what not working ? since we do not have any visibility, so try explain as much as details and steps what you have done, then we can figure out why it was not working.

Note : bare in mind, if your broadband router in same network 192.168.1.X you may have conflict.

my ip is 192.168.1.2

Netmask 24

Gateway 192.168.1.20

"Do you have both IP configured as mentioned in the video ?" yes. when i configure ip. i press >>Ok(--This interface already has a dynamic IP address. Adding the static IP address will delete the dynamic IP address from this interface.--). after when i press Ok, switch is not responde and green LED stops blinking and stays on (DHCP IP address assigned).

Hello! I am still struggling with dhcp, my switch gets dhcp after I add ip adress in the web interface. When I configure stable access to the switch, can I write to you for further instructions on how to configure it?
