Can't get into rommon on cisco 1905 router

Hi 

These are the steps, other method that can work is removing the compact flash as last option (not sure if the CF is installed internally for this model) and restart the device without it and once in rommon install it again.

cisco 1905 have internal flash. any other option for this issue...

can we break the encrypted password

Regarding break of encrypted password.
If it is type 7 password then you can find tool on internet to decrypt password (if you have encrypted form of it).
If it is type 5 password then it is not possible to decrypt it.

Regarding that you cannot get into ROMMON.
Laptops usually use for pause/break key some combination of Fn key and another key.
Did you try connect standard keyboard ? (and try press pause/break key on it)
(or this shouldn´t be related but try different operating system, or different console client - putty, hyperterminal, etc.)

Hi

Verify if when the router is booting you can see a line to press any button and interrupt the booting on the output.

Something like:

*** The system will autoboot in 15 seconds ***
Send break character to prevent autobooting.

Thanks for your response.

we resolve this issue. we first try with USB to Serial converter console cable. but it's not working, so we try from PC com port its working. router accept the Ctrl+Breake key. we found the router not entered the rommon mode due to USB to Serail converter. converter can't send brake command to the router.

But with same USB-Serial Converter able to configure the router all commands.

Please suggest any other standard USB-Serial converter can support this key..
