Router#sh bootvar BOOT variable = tftp:\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ 255.255.255.255,12;bootflash:/isr4300-universalk9.16.06.02.SPA.bin,12; CONFIG_FILE variable does not exist BOOTLDR variable does not exist Configuration register is 0x2102 Standby not ready to show bootvar
I dont know, tried few commands nothing is working.

I had this same problem and resolved it. I had the isr4331 in front of me and verified this works.
note: with this router you don't have to remove the old bootvar.
Run these commands.
Router#conf t
Router#(config)boot system flash bootflash:<image.bin>
Next you would normally run "show bootvar" to confirm your change.
Don't worry about what "show bootvar" says it does not reflect the change until you reload the router.
Reload the router and you should be good. Now "show bootvar" should reflect your change.
