Just wondering if this switch can do standard QinQ. Not selective QinQ or anything advanced.

Thanks

Hello again Darren,

no, unfortunately the 2960 (any flavor) does not support either the Cisco nor the IEEE standard of qinq.

table 7 of the release notes shows that you need at least a 3750 or a 3560 for such feature

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/switches/lan/catalyst3750/software/release/15.0_1_se/release/notes/OL25301.html#wp1072530

seach for ' IEEE 802.1Q tunneling and Layer 2 protocol tunneling'

regards,

Riccardo

That's a real shame. It's a L2 feature so requiring a L3 switch to do so is not very nice

Thanks

I see your point, however even if it is a l2 feature it requires a more powerful and flexible forwarding ASIC to work and this is available on cat3xxx only.

take care

Riccardo
