Hello,
I've got a cisco 837 and I'd like to configure it for my adsl at home.
I've been trying to access via webGUI with no successs. The router came with its own configuration for the previous
owner.I wasn't able to access via web browser so I reset the router to factory defaults.
I set a new username and password but I still cannot access the CRWS.The windows stays at "Loading Cisco Router Web
Setup. Please wait..." but it doesn't go any further.
Telnet access is ok.
Below some outputs.
IES_GA#sh webflash:
Web flash directory:
File Length Name/status
1 792 ConfigExp.cfg
2 474217 CRWSbHlp.html
3 941455 CRWS_1.jar

5 62561 CRWS_VPNLogin.jar

When I reset the router to factory defaults the output of "sh run" shown these users.
username CRWS_Jaidil privilege 15 password 0 $1$W1fA$o1oSEpa2145681801
username CRWS_Ulags privilege 15 password 0 $1$W1fA$o1oSEpa1832563165
I deleted them and create my own but with no use.
SDM is also installed, are SDM and CRWS interfering with each other?
Any idea?
Thanks

Hi,
Did you delete the CRWS files in webflash directory?
I think you'll need Microsoft virtual machine enabled for CRWS to work.

Hi,
Do you have Java installed on your PC? What web browser are you using?
Cisco GUI usually run natively in IE.

Hi,
First of all thanks for your time.
I've got Java 7 Update 7 (version 7.0.70)
I've tried IE 6.0 and Firefox 14.0.1.
There's one thing I find funny.I deleted some usernames called CRWS_something.Then I tried to access with my username with no success. To my surprise the output of the " sh run" command showed another CRWS_something usernames, different for the ones I deleted. It seems as if they are automatically generated.
Any idea?
Can I reset CRWS to factory defaults?
Thanks

HI,
I didn't delete anything at least knowingly. The webflash dir is shown in my first post.
I've been searching on the internet and I downloaded an old Microsoft VM which I'm going to use it instead of the Java one.
Thanks

Well I've sorted it out.I installed Microsoft VM and disabled Java and it seems to be working now,I can access the router via CRWS.
I followed this:

By the way, how do I tag this discussion as 'solved'?
Bye bye.
