Hello,

I accidentally factory reset my Cisco C9300-24T. Then I tried to fix it with emergency installation.

Then I got this problem:

Reading bundle usbflash0:cat9k_iosxe.16.09.01.SPA.bin...

Validating bundle usbflash0:cat9k_iosxe.16.09.01.SPA.bin...
Installing bundle usbflash0:cat9k_iosxe.16.09.01.SPA.bin....
Package file  does not have a valid SHA-1 digest
Emergency Install failed - bundle usbflash0:cat9k_iosxe.16.09.01.SPA.bin is not  supported on this platform
Will reboot now

I've tried other Cisco IOS but the result is still the same. and my flash & bootflash directory also empty and read only. I try all other tips but it still read only.
Help me please

what i noticed here, is you are not reading the suggested methods in the thread - do 1 step at a time, spend reading the docs we suggest, if you looking get back the switch into working. connect console, capture all the information in text file and post here, so we can understand better - what is wrong and where it going wrong. suggest to start with 16.9.X or 16.12 for recovery, I have posted the URL have good steps.

if not Raise the TAC case.

The file is corrupt.

Download the file again, check/compare the MD5 hash against the one found in the Cisco website.

I've allready test this ios :

cat9k_iosxe.17.06.03.SPA.bin :fail
cat9k_iosxe.16.09.01.SPA.bin :fail
cat9k_iosxe.16.09.04.SPA.bin :fail
cat9k_iosxe.16.12.07.SPA.bin :fail
cat9k_iosxe.17.08.01.SPA.bin :fail

Still the same .  can you help a little more

My bootflash and flash directory is also empty.

switch: dir
usage:
dir <path-to-directory>
supported filesystem(s):
flash: ro flash
bootflash: ro system partition
usbflash0: rw front-panel USB
usbflash1: rw back-panel USB

As i remember Cat 9300-24T ship with 16.9.X or 16.12.X version, so it can not go below that version to work.

Download the image, check the MD5 checksum : follow below guide :

You started this thread with attempting to load 16.9.1.  Now, you are trying to load 16.6.1.

So answer this:  WTF are you trying to do?

I just want to turn the router back on to normal again.

so i tried different ios. and nothing is installed successfully.

I've tried all the suggestions you gave, but nothing works.

Trust me, I'm also confused what im going to do next.

Remove all fibre optic NM cards, cold-reboot the switch (pull the power).

When the switch boots into ROMMON, post the complete output (including serial numbers) to the following commands:

  • dir flash:
  • set

Here it is,

WTF.

Enter "BYPASS_STARTUP_CONFIG=0"

And then post the complete output to the command "dir usbflash0:".
