CAT3850: long startup time byupdating IOS-XE to 03.06.05E

Yesterday evening I had some Catalyst 3850 updated to the latest, suggested,  IOS XE version 03.06.05E

After the reload, the will be back in 18n minutes, and some stacks need 25 minutes before they are back, what looks me it's not normal.

There are no additional file in the crashinfo:

The answere is clear, it's look like it's more than only an IOS (XE) update.

its doing microcode upgrade. whenever you go between certain releases (even during downgrade), the switch updates the system controller. it may take upto 15 or even 20 mins.

its expected and no need to worry about that.
