Catalyst 1000 Switches SPAN Port Limited to 4?

Hi All,

We've come across a limitation on testing a c1000-24P-4G-L, whereby the number monitor sessions is restricted to 4 as per this document https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/switches/lan/catalyst1000/software/releases/15_2_7_e/command_reference/b_1527e_1000_cr/network_management_commands.html#wp3749441861

We've migrated to the C1000 series following the end of life WS-C2960+24TC-S series switches. Looking at the documentation for the 2960s, this appears to be limited to 66 https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/switches/lan/catalyst2960/software/release/12-2_55_se/configuration/guide/scg_2960/swspan.html

Has anyone else come across this before and is there any way to remove the limit of 4 / why is this now a thing?

Its all depends on model and features C1000 basic switch limitation, compare Cat 2960 - (The maximum number of destination ports in a switch stack is 64)
