Hi dear brothers and sisters, We are looking to refresh our legacy Alcatel Omniswitch 6850 with Cisco Catalyst 3850, this is the actual scenario:
router---->Alcatel Omniswitch 6850----optical fiber------->Alcatel Omniswtich 6850

Alcatel Omniswitch 6400 48 POE Alcatel Omniswitch 6405 48 POE
( Stack in total 4 switches ) ( Stack in total 2 switches )
And this is our proposal
router---->Cisco Catalyst 3850----optical fiber----------->Cisco Catalyst 3850

Alcatel Omniswitch 6400 48 POE Alcatel Omniswitch 6405 48 POE
( Stack in total 4 switches ) ( Stack in total 2 switches )
As you can see, the Alcatel Omniswitch 680 is layer 3 and is doing inter vlan routing.
Please someone can point me in the right direction to achieve this mission? I would like to know if is it possible to get up the proposal scenario? is there issues, incompatibility between Catalyst and Omniswitch?
Thanks in advance.

Replacing with 3850 is not an issue you can workout and config what is required.
only question here, how is your exiting access switch connected ? L2 or L3 ? between 6850 to 6400.
