Hello,
Can a username and password (similiar to local login on IOS) be configured on a Catalyst 5500( Supervisor III 5.5.19)? I have 7 or 8 newer switches at this location running IOS and know how to set the local username and password (login local). I need to configure these 2 5500's so I am prompted for a username and password similair to the IOS switches. I know how to do it through TACACS, but these switches are on a private network and can't get to the TACACS server. This is a temporary sitution until I can get them replaced.
Thanks,
Bob
