Catalyst 9500 stackwise speed link change

We currently have a cluster of two stackwise 9500s with two links to 10G, we need to upgrade the links to 100G.

What do you think is the preferred procedure?

You can run the "no stackwise-virtual link 1" command on 10G links and then run the "stackwise-virtual link 1" command on new 100G links and reload the stack.

Thanks a lot

Cat 9500 I have seen boot-up time 18-22 min, so you good my point of view.

I agree with the split-brain scenario.

Another option I can think of also (not tested) was On the secondary, shut down all the ports. so only Primary serving the traffic. Secondary node removes the cables ( from console change the 100GB config and reload only Secondary), change the Links to 100GB on Primary (this is not required to reboot), bring back the Secondary node and connect 100GB connection, so Primary detect peer.

is this make sense?

If you got a maintenance window - that is an easy way to change the configuration on the interface - connect the physical links - reload and test.

We wanted to verify if the described procedure was the most suitable and fastest one since we only have 45 minutes of time in the maintenance window.

Since the cluster is already in production, we wanted to avoid disabling the stackwise on the 10G links first, restart the cluster and go into split brain condition and then reconfigure the stackwise and have to reapply the current configuration.

Thanks for your suggestions.
