catalyst c1000 H stacking

Having issues setting up  x2 c1000 catalyst switches in a horizontal stack. 2nd switch not being picked up. is there any documentation that explains how to set this up set by step?

You can configue single IP management/stacking with the following procedure:

! Configure on both switches
configure terminal 
 ! Use differing switch numbers on each switch
 switch {switch number} hstack-port {stack-port-number} {stack-port/interface} 
 end
write memory
reload  

Once the switches have reloaded they should be managed as one. You can verify the status using "show switch hstack-ports".
