Hi everyone.

we have Switch C9500-48Y4C and several Switches C9200-24T are connected to it.

On the Switch C9500-48Y4C I see in- and outgoing traffic to other switches:

#sh inter Twe 1/0/3

Every night we have almost 1Gbit traffic for two hours (backup). I see it in our Monitoring system (basic MRTG) for C9500-48Y4C, but I don't see if for C9200-24T. What is wrong?

Thank you in advance!

do you mean you are manually chenckin the switch at night ?

5 minute input rate 0 bits/sec, 0 packets/sec

the rate in this output is over the last 5 minutes, so in the morning this will never show anything about the activity done at night!

if you mean your(MRTG)  monitoring system does not show anything, then it may be you configured this wrong
make sure MRTG is querying the correct OID.
this may have been renumbered at some time  e.g. because of switch software upgrade?

Hi Pieterh,
No, the MRTG checks the switch 24\7, I do this manually during a working day when we also have a traffic, but in both cases the rate is always 0. The "show interface XXX" above was made at the same time. Both interfaces of the switches are connected to each other. One interface shows a traffic, but another one - doesn't, although current traffic is 250 Mbit/sec.
