I need to access the web interface on this switch but cannot find my notes with what the username and password are. Is there a way to find out or reset the web interface for this switch?
Or is there a way to set the username and password for the web interface via telnet since I do remember the password for that?
Thanks.

Hi,
just do a show run | i user to see user/passwords configured if you see something like user bla secret xxxx then you won't be able to recover the password but if user bla password bla in plain-text it's ok and even if you have user bla password 7 xxxx then with the trick I mentioned before you will recover the plain-text pass.
if you do sh run | i ip http and you get ip http authentication local then you can use the user/pass.

Can you please post us the config ? what is the authentication method ? local ? if it is local authentication, check the username password configured. if you did not get anything from "show run | i user", you might not have a username/pw configured.. try configuring a new username and let us know if this works..
Hope this helps..

Hi,
as long as you can access cli then yes you can change the username/secret or view the username/password even with service encryption on.In this case configure a key-chain like this:
key chain test
key 1
key-string 7 "encrypted password"
then do a show key chain and you'll get the password.
