CBS220 switch - reset fails

We are locked out of one of our CBS220 48-port switches.  We've done a factory reset, which "works" - but the first-time login obviously demands setting a new non-default password, which then fails to allow access.  We've been through this loop a few times, getting nowhere.  Any other ideas?

which then fails to allow access

after password change done ?

make sure you use the password (Password—Enter a password (UTF-8 characters aren’t permitted))

Hi - unfortunately not.  It's the same problem, always.  It accepts the new password and confirms it meets the requirements, then throws you back to a fresh login page.  Immediately you just get "Invalid user name or password".   Around in circles again

how about you try old password ?

what is the version of code ? if get change upgrade to latest firmware and test it.

Thanks - though we can't get far enough in to do the upgrade.  I think it was running 2.0.2.8 anyway, like our other switches.  We have 3 of these and never any other problems.  This one has basically become a paving slab - I suppose we look at the serial port output and try that, otherwise it's a warranty claim if still covered....

sure before any one do the RMA for you they ask you to check can be done factory reset and working, and upgrade to latest firmware

the RMA only works if the switch non functioning. (totally DEAD)

Yeah, it's obviously not dead.  Lots of flashing lights and then she arrives on the default IP, but nothing more.  This is very frustrating....
