CDP reflection across trunk

Hello, I have a 2960 switch with two trunks i.e. one trunk to another Cisco switch and the second trunk to a Ruckus wifi access point (which is controller based and tags the different SSIDs that it services).

I am finding that I am receiving CDP advertisements which incorrectly state that the neighbouring Cisco switch is attached to the trunk port that leads to the wifi access point. This is in addition to CDP advertisements that correctly state it is connected via the trunk to that switch iself. So to summarise, I am being told that the neighboring switch is in two locations - one patently incorrect.

I can only think that the CDP advertisements are coming in from the neighboring switch, going up the wifi access point trunk and then being reflected back ?

Is this possible ?

Thanks for any ideas as to what is going on here.

Is it possible that the other Cisco switch has a connection to the Rukus wifi access point? If so the other switch would send a CDP packet which would get to the Rukus, and Rukus would forward it to your switch.

Perhaps posting the output of show CDP neighbor might help.
