Hi All,

I have 1 unit 3850-12XS (3.07.04E). Trying to configure the speed at the port since the end device connect to media converter. Is there anything that need to be done?

If this is a fibre SFP then you can not change the speed.  The speed is fixed based on the type of SFP you have bought.

The media convert needs to speak exactly the same standard as the SFP you have to make it work.

Hi Philip,

Thanks, if i use the sfp to 100, and at the end point, using media converter 100mb, it show the port is up but trafic did not pass through. Is it because the sfp cannot go through media converter 100mb?

Thanks,

You can not configure the speed of a fibre SFP.

You can buy a 100Mb/s SFP (for some devices) and Gigabit SFPs.  They only do the one speed.  The media converter needs to match the standard using used by the SFP.
