Cisco 1000BASE-T Copper SFP on 10GB Port

We have a Cisco WS-C2960X-24PD-L switch that has 4 ports off to the right side. Two of them are 1 GB, the other 2 are 10 GB. We need to plug in 4 RJ45 SFP ports. I know I can use the WS-C2960X-24PD-L for the 2 1-GB ports, but am I able to use them for the 2 10 GB ports if we are content with a speed of 1 GB? Or do I have to plug in 10 GB SFPs?

dual personality ports - here you can use as below :

SFP and SFP+ Module Slots

The switch has either two or four 1-Gigabit SFP or two 10-Gigabit SFP+ module slots. The slots marked SFP+ support both SFP and SFP+ modules. The SFP slots support only the SFP modules.

Are you sure that that switch comes with 4 uplink ports? The datasheet indicates that  WS-C2960X-24PD-L comes only with 2 10Gig ports. see table 27 in this link:

Thanks for your reply. I thought for sure that I had seen 4 ports off to the side. If I do a show int status command, it shows Te1/0/1 and Te1/0/2, but if I do a show run command, it shows

interface GigabitEthernet1/0/25
!
interface GigabitEthernet1/0/26
!
interface TenGigabitEthernet1/0/1
!
interface TenGigabitEthernet1/0/2

You see all 4 ports in the "sh run" command because they are just placeholders and not necessarily how many uplinks there are on the specific switch. According to the datasheet that switch comes only with 2 10Gig ports and no fiber 1Gig at all.
