I have a 2821 that will not boot from any CF. I have confirmed that the CF are in good working order by using them in another 2821. The bootup looks like this...

I have even formated a new CF and copied an IOS to it. That did not work either.

Hi,
Did you try using the fsck command if it exists from rommon mode? I have the same problem on a C2950 and it was solved after that file system check.

Hi,
Can you do a one time boot of your IOS from a USB memory device and then try formatting the card in-situ?
