I have configured archive feature on Cisco C2960X (Version 15.2(7)E1) and IE-4010 (Version 15.2(8)E1) switches:
archive
path ftp://username:password@X.X.X.X/path/$h
write-memory
time-period 1440
However authentication fails, also fails for SCP: Login or password incorrect! log from FTP/SCP servers.
FTP only works, when FTP username/password are defined through ip ftp username and ip ftp password commands.
License for switches is lanbase.
For other switch models with Network Advantage license no problem with authentication for both FTP and SCP with the same username/passwords.
So why authentication do fail, is it related to license lanbase?
