I have a Cisco ws-c2960x-24ts-l that was part of a stack.  I am needing to separate it from the stack and change the interfaces from G2/0/1 to G1/0/1.  Can anyone offer some assistance?

Thanks,

Kevin

Can you please explain what step you did not understand here ?

1. Turn off the Switch (you like to remove from Stack, by pulling the power Lead)

2. remove the stack cable ( from stack)

3. make it standalone.

you can reset the config to factory or

4. Connect the console cable to switch you like to make standalone.

5. Power on (let boot the device)

or

4. renumber the switch to switch 1 write and reload.

#switch 2 renumber 1

what step did not work ? post the complete log from console

If this is part of the stack, and you like to remove it.

1. Turn off the Switch

2. remove the stack cable

3. make it standalone.

you can reset the config to factory or

4. renumber the switch to switch 1 write and reload.

How do I make it a standalone switch?

Hello

1) physically remove switch from the stack and make sure the stacking cables left in the stack are reconnected back together to make full ring stack

2) On exiting live stack unprovision the removed switch

3) factory reset the removed switch using the

mode button on the front panel - have the switch powered on and hold in that mode button for about 30 seconds until all leds lights flash together then they go solid.
