The 3550 has 2 Gbic ports and the 3560 has 2 sfp ports. How can i connect the 2 switches properly? I have 3 of the 3550 and i want to connect all 3 to the the 3560 since it has 24 1000 ports.
Any advice?

You will need to buy 3 UTP GBIC cards for your 3550 switches then uplink to the UTP ports on your new 3560. Remember to force the speed and duplex on both ends of the uplinks.

Thats the UTP GBIC that I use on my switches.

Thx for your reply. So I will not be able to use the SFP ports to connect to the old 3550's?

Yes you can but the modules differ
3550 use 1000baseSx modules which required SC connectors whereas 3560 uses GLC-SX-MM= which requires LC connectors.
So get hold of a SC-LC connector and connect
