Cisco 3560 - clear it's configuration

How do I clear it's configuration? I tried 'delete flash:vlan.dat' and 'delete flash:config.text', but neither worked. Please help.

try write erase and reload.

delete flash:vlan.dat is also useful to clear the vlan database.

I tried write erase and reloaded it, but the host name and configuration was still there.

Usually when you reload it will ask you if you want to save the config , if you said yes then you overwrote the empty startup config with the running config.

Here is my output for when I delete config.text and reload:
